How it works

  1. Publish

Each standard lists its requirements and the edition in force.

  2. Register

We record the businesses we find for each service and city.

  3. Check

Identity, address, phone, website and review record, with dates.

  4. List

Every requirement met: listed A to Z. Otherwise: not listed.

  5. Re-check

Checks are re-run, and a status is removed if a requirement lapses.

Registers

Each register lists the businesses that meet the standard for one service in one place.

A standard, not a ranking

Met or not met

Every requirement is checked against records. There is no partial pass and no star score.

A to Z

Businesses that meet a standard are listed alphabetically. We don't say one is better than another.

On the record

Every result shows the edition applied and the date of each check.

Run a local business?

Read the requirements for your trade. If you meet them, apply for an assessment; your result is published with the edition and date.
