## What a result means

A result states that a business met, or did not meet, each published requirement on the date shown. It is not a guarantee of any business's work, price or conduct.

## Quote requests

Requests go only to the businesses you tick. Any agreement is between you and the business you hire.

## For businesses

Fees fund assessments and never buy a pass. Enhanced profiles are labelled. Results can be re-checked through the [corrections page](https://localstandardlist.com/corrections/).

## Pass or fail, never paid

A business meets the standard only if it meets every published requirement on the date of its record. Payment does not buy a pass. [How we make money](https://localstandardlist.com/how-we-make-money/)

## No rankings

Businesses that meet a standard are listed A to Z. We don't rank them against each other, and nobody can pay to move up a list. Paid enhanced profiles are labelled.

## Something wrong?

Homeowners can report a problem with a listed business, and businesses can ask for a result to be re-checked. [Corrections](https://localstandardlist.com/corrections/) · [Contact](https://localstandardlist.com/contact/)

**Local Standard**

Local businesses that meet a clear, published standard. Every requirement, edition and check date is on the record.
